Publish with open access free of charge
If you are conducting research at Umeå University, you can publish your work open access in numerous journals without having to pay a publishing fee (APC, article processing charge). This is possible thanks to agreements that the library and, in some cases, research funding bodies have concluded with several publishers.

Who is covered by the agreements?
To be able to use the agreements, four basic requirements must be fulfilled:
- You must be a corresponding author (i.e. the one handling communication with the publisher).
- You must use your email address ending in @umu.se and state Umeå University as your organisation.
- Your affiliation with Umeå University must be stated in the published article.
- The research should mainly be conducted at Umeå University.
