The open access publishing fee (APC, article processing charge) has been pre-paid through an agreement between the library and Sage IOS Press. This applies to publication in many of Sage IOS Press hybrid journals in the Sage IOS Collection, and in all their open access journals in the Sage Gold package. A few journals do not offer open access publishing; they are subscription-only journals.
Terms and conditions
- You must be the corresponding author, i.e., the one handling communication with the publisher and journal.
- Your Umeå University affiliation must be stated in the published article.
- Use your university email ending with @umu.se. The email domain is used to recognise your eligibility.
- The agreement applies to all article types.
- The agreement applies to articles accepted by the publisher in 2024 or 2025 (“accepted date” during 2024-2025).
- Your article will be published under a CC BY license.
- The agreement does not cover additional charges, such as page charges or charges for colour illustrations.
How the publishing process works
Please note that the corresponding author should submit the manuscript, as IOS Press will recognise eligibility based on the submitting author’s affiliation.
