Software for data collection

Researchers at Umeå University have access to several tools for collecting data. Some of the most common data collection services are REDCap, Survey&Report, and Forms.


REDCap

REDCap is a browser-based service for data collection in research studies. It helps researchers collect, store and report clinical research data.

Survey&Report

Survey&Report is a browser-based service for creating surveys and collecting, processing and presenting results. The service is free and supports both public surveys and respondent surveys. Note that the service is not suitable for collecting data with a high protection value.

Forms

Forms is an application included with Microsoft 365 that lets you create forms (surveys and evaluations) and polls (shorter, single questions) for up to 5,000 respondents. Note that the service is not suitable for collecting data with a high protection value.
