Rivers networks integrate materials and biogeochemical clues from the surrounding landscape, making these systems effective “sensors” of landscape-scale change. In my prior work, I used river biogeochemistry to explore how Arctic landscape processes and characteristics are expressed in patterns of organic carbon flux.
I am now working with Gerard Rocher-Ros in EMG and IceLab to understand the specific sources and mechanisms regulating river methane emissions from high-latitude ecosystems.
