I studied biology at the NUM in Mongolia where I was interested in biochemistry. I went to NTU in Taiwan to pursue my PhD and completed it in Chemical Biology and Molecular Biophysics. In my PhD research, I investigated major cell wall synthesizing complexes in E.coli by utilizing proteomics approach to study protein-protein interactions to decode the functional redundancy of the proteins.

Currently, I am enrolled in Kempe Postdoc Fellowship and conducting my research in André Mateus group. My current project revolves around understanding of the interaction between human gut microbes, with emphasis on how proteomics sheds light on these interactions. Proteomics provides a view of bacterial physiology by revealing the proteins expressed under specific conditions. This will help uncover functional adaptations and responses to external stimuli, including interactions with other species.
