I am a general dental practitioner with a master’s degree in public health and a PhD in public health and epidemiology from the Department of Epidemiology and Global Health at Umeå University. I have seven years of experience in public health research in my home country, Peru, including collaborations with Umeå University, Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia, and Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine.
I am currently a Senior Lecturer in Odontology. My position combines teaching and research with clinical practice. My research focuses on social inequalities in oral health and access to dental care among both children and adults in Sweden.
I primarily teach oral public health and professional development within the Dentistry Programme. I also supervise students at master’s and doctoral levels.
