(they/them)

I am a postdoctoral research fellow in the philosophy of AI, affiliated with TAIGA - Umeå Centre for Transdisciplinary AI. My current research focuses on questions related to moral responsibility, moral agency and moral psychology in the context of human-AI interactions.

I am very interested in the cognitive underpinnings and behavioral constituents of moral agency, such as sympathy, mentalization and responsiveness to norms. My research also engages with the philosophy of consciousness, (comparative) cognition, animal ethics and the ethics of AI.

My PhD project focused on the possibility of moral agency and responsibility in entities other than (typical adult) human beings, such as nonhuman animals, AI systems and small children. I also have a background in biology (zoology/ethology).
