Host-pathogen interactions under hypoxic conditions

My research focus on how pathogenic fungi interact with the innate immune system, particularly neutrophils and how these interactions are affected by the decrease in oxygen level that arise during infections.

Neutrophil responses in COVID-19

I also work on a new project on neutrophil responses in SARS-CoV-2 infections and how they contribute to COVID-19 symptoms.
