Docent in Public Health. My research activities focus on migration and health, sexual and reproductive health and rights globally and in Sweden as well as the application of mixed methods approach in health service research. I a member of the Global Society on Migration, Ethnicity, Race and Health, the Migrant and Ethnic Minority Health Section of the European Public Health Association, and serve on the Scientific Committee of the International Mukwege Chair.
At the advanced level, I have course responsibilities and involved in teaching the qualitative methodology for public health (5 credits) course, as well as Migration and Health (5 credits), which is offered to professionals.. I also teach within the global public health course (10 ECTS) and the qualitative data analysis (7.5 ECTS) course given to Master's and doctoral students.
At the undergraduate level, I teach occupational therapist students how to work with interpreters and medical students on migration, health, health care and racism.
I supervise undergraduate, master’s, and PhD students in their thesis work.
