I am an Associate Professor (Docent) in Sociology and Psychology. I am particularly interested in how social and psychological factors interact to explain people's subjective well-being.
In addition to subjective well-being, my research interests include psychosocial working conditions, mental health, social isolation and loneliness, gender, social status, and personality traits. Recently, I have also become interested in public attitudes and expectations regarding the development of artificial intelligence. A first study examining the Swedish public’s expectations about transformative AI is available here.
Since 2013, I have also been involved in the research infrastructures European Social Survey (ESS) and Survey of Health, Ageing and Retirement in Europe (SHARE).
In 2025, I am temporarily working as a researcher at the Department of Psychology, Stockholm University, in a research project on experiences of fairness and well-being among entrepreneurs in Sweden.
