I am doctoral student at department of Public Health and Clinical Medicine.  My thesis is going to focus on developing the methods and providing knowledge how to assess health consequences related to different transport solutions in modern cities. The goal is to fill current knowledge gaps related to health effects related to air pollution from transport sector. Furthermore, complement health impact assessments by weighing in the expected gains applicable to active commuting, such as cycling and develop the use of DALY/QALY measure to broaden the spectrum by weighing in the expected health effects into the economic valuations when sustainability is in question.
