Louise Eriksson is a docent in psychology and work as a researcher in environmental psychology. She examines individual drivers for behaviors with an impact on our natural environment and behavioral change in this context. In her current project with the title Social perspectives on forest risks (financed by Formas), the aim is to examine the social dimensions of managing old and new forest risks in a changing societal context. In the project, private forest owners managing forest risks, the Swedish Forest Agency responsible for risk communication, and the general public important from a legitimacy perspective, are examined.
Eriksson also teach on the undergraduate level in quantitative methods at the Department of Geography and Economic History and in environmental psychology at the Department of Psychology, Umeå University.
