My research focuses on institutions, social identities and decision-making in relation to social policy, gender equality and white-collar crime. Among other things, I take a closer look at issues of political representation linked to welfare privatizations, family policy, social divides in the legitimacy of the welfare state, and the existence of distrust regarding social security systems (over- and underuse). Other related areas of interest are entrepreneurs' and employees' tax morality and compliance, as well as personality research. I mainly use larger data sets and quantitative methods in my research.

In 2025, I was appointed STINT Teaching Sabbatical Fellow, and I have previously been a Visiting Fellow at the European University Institute. I teach criminology and represent the university at the University Network for Criminology in Sweden.
