I am an Associate Professor and Distinguished University Teacher (“excellent lärare”) at the Department of Political Science. I teach and manage a range of courses including the introductory course to political theory. In my research, I mostly work on long-term global sustainability issues from an ecomodernist perspective. My articles have been published in leading international journals such as Environmental Politics, Climate Policy and Citizenship Studies.
Prior to joining the Department of Political Science in Umeå, I was an Assistant Professor at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (HUFS) in Seoul, Republic of Korea, where I was responsible for an MA programme in sustainable development for three years. I have also worked at Tsinghua University in Beijing, China, as a Marie Curie Research Fellow and in Hong Kong as a post-doctoral research fellow at the Education University of Hong Kong.
For a more personal introduction to my research, I maintain a weblog at www.rawlsandme.blogspot.com
