Riia has a background in research in geology, archaeology, and geoarchaeology, with a keen interest in what life was like in the Nordic countries long ago. They now work as a datasteward in Swedigarch with the goal of making it easier for all researchers to share their data in SEAD, with day to day tasks including digitalising and quality control of microfossil and macrofossil data, and preparing the transformation of archaeological and environemental data for inclusion in SEAD.
