I graduated with a medical degree from Ankara University Faculty of Medicine and obtained my specialization in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in Turkiye. My clinical and academic interests focus on adolescent mental health and epidemiological psychiatric research. I have published several scientific articles in international peer-reviewed journals in child and adolescent psychiatry (see below). I have a particular interest in biostatistics and data analysis.
I am a PhD student in the research group of Eva Henje and Erik Ekbäck within the project Training for Awareness, Resilience and Action (TARA). TARA is a neuroscience-based treatment program for adolescents and young adults with depression. TARA is delivered in groups during 12 weeks and integrates yoga- and mindfulness-based exercises that support autonomic and emotional regulation as well as interoceptive awareness. TARA also includes psychoeducation and promotes an increased understanding of symptoms in relation to environmental factors.
