My current research aims to understand the molecular mechanisms of malaria to identify new therapeutic targets. My scientific background is rooted in the study of infectious diseases, with a particular focus on the molecular biology of respiratory viruses. Prior to joining UCMR, I spent several years researching the pathogenesis and transmission of influenza viruses.
My previous work involved investigating viral replication and the host immune response to infection. I am now applying my expertise in molecular genetics and pathogen biology to the field of malaria, exploring how these complex parasites interact with their environment and host cells.
