Campus: Main campus is situated in Seoul and the other campus - ERICA (Education Research Industry Cluster), is in Ansan.
Student life: The university has sports teams in baseball, volleyball, football, judo, basketball, ice hockey, gymnastics and track and field.

Hanyang Doolleghil is a 2.6 km long hiking trail that runs through the campus and offers a scenic setting.

The city has distinguished itself as a shopping-city, the Dongdaemun market is the largest market in Korea and Yongsans Electronic Market is the largest of its kind in Asia.

Important Note! Hanyang University has decided to accept exchange students only to the Undergraduate program and is not accepting students to the Graduate program from Fall 2021. The decision still stands for Fall 2023. Graduate students are still welcome to join the Undergraduate program if the home university permits this.

Important Note! Hanyang University’s Administration Office of Graduate School is only located in Seoul campus. Due to this, all exchange students coming to Hanyang University ERICA should be enrolled in Bachelor (Undergraduate) level regardless of their degree level in their home university. But we can still accept Graduate students (Master only), and ERICA’s graduate courses will be taught at ERICA campus. Graduate level students will be automatically registered as 4th grade of Undergraduate level at Hanyang.

Course types: 1–6 credits/course

Course levels: Study year 1–4: Undergraduate level

Second term: September–December
First term: March–June

All international students will automatically be enrolled in the National Health Insurance Service (NHIS). Cost is approx: 50 South Korean Won per month. This enrolment is mandatory and only in few cases an application of exemption of the NHIS is approved.

Accommodation

Seoul Campus:
On-campus dormitory will not be available until further notice. Instead, we will share useful information through newsletter that students can refer to when arranging accommodation.

ERICA Campus:
Students can apply for on-campus dormitory and the application will be done separately approximately two (2) months before the semester begins.

Student grants and loans for studies outside of Sweden

You may be entitled to student grants and loans from CSN when studying abroad.

As the cost of living and accommodation may be higher abroad, you can apply for an extra loan known as an additional loan for studies abroad.

You can also apply for an additional loan to cover additional costs, i.e. travel and insurance costs.
