Student life:  From Cranberry Fest to History Club, dodgeball games to literary magazines, Rider University’s campus is an epicenter of year-round activities, deep-seated traditions, and diverse clubs and organizations that make Rider a wonderful place to call home. There are over 150 student organizations, 30 intramural and club sports teams, a fitness center, basketball, volleyball and tennis courts, an exercise studio, swimming pool, fully equipped e-game room and so much more. There are a total of 12 residence halls and five Greek houses for members of fraternities and sororities on campus. Rider also offers plenty of opportunities for students to follow their interest in the creative and performing arts.

Rider University is located in Lawrenceville, New Jersey. The campus is about 90 kilometers from New York City, one of the world's most dynamic and diverse metropolitan cities - and 65 kilometers from Philadelphia, one of America's most historically and culturally rich cities. Rider’s central location makes it easy to visit other major cities in the United States, such as Boston and Washington, DC. Rider University is within a 10 minute drive of the historic town Princeton and a 40 minute drive of some of the finest beach destinations on the east coast of the United States.

Exchange students are required to live on campus and will have their housing confirmed automatically; no additional application will be required. Housing includes a bed, dresser, desk, closet or wardrobe, tv and internet access, shared laundry and lounge area with a small kitchen. Campus meal plans are provided, with several options both for the types of plans, including number of meals per week, and the on-campus eating options.

Student grants and loans for studies outside of Sweden

You may be entitled to student grants and loans from CSN when studying abroad.

As the cost of living and accommodation may be higher abroad, you can apply for an extra loan known as an additional loan for studies abroad.

You can also apply for an additional loan to cover additional costs, i.e. travel and insurance costs.
