The state of shapeshifting is not something that has a tie to fantasy or folklore in the way that modern storytelling often portrays it, or how the secular society and Christianity has influenced it to become.
Its rather a historical fact about the transformation and transformative state of a practice made as well as the guidance from the other worlds that exchange lifeform with our world, and the fluidity of life between the human and animal worlds.
In the Sámi traditions the animals should be seen as our guides and messengers, and the boundaries between the physical and spiritual worlds are not fixed.
They whom I encountered as a child, those i became to talk about as shadow people were for me spiritual guides and ancestors offering a glimpse into this interconnectedness between our worlds.
The sacred relationship between human, animal, nature, and the ancestor’s world.
The unseen as well as the visible worlds needs a common room.

Sebastian Blind, born 1986 in Helsingborg, Sweden, is an artist based in the northern part of Sweden who is currently entering his third year of the bachelor's program at the Umeå Academy of Fine Arts.
In his artistic work, he reconnects with his Sami heritage. With his own knowledge bearing and his own research of historical contexts around liminality, shapeshifting, and the shapeshifter. Also, how our understanding of different worldviews has often been linked to other things than the physical world that humans know.
Sebastian has used the drum as a tool of life, and it serves as a starting point further into the rhythm and through the hearts sorrow.
What happens to someone who is raised in the secular society with experiences that cannot be linked to the tradition that exists there, but which can be hereditarily woven together into the heritage and culture that one genetically carries within oneself.
How well do we manage the knowledge and the bearer of knowledge today?
