In this painting, weight and softness, nurture and threat unite in a composition where hands, stone and flower petals meet. The body bends, stretches, carries something that may be given away—or taken back. In my artistic practice I juxtapose existing materials, working with contrasting tensions and allusiveness. The motifs act as witnesses to one another.
