DRIONS is a a sentient AI racing companion that communicates with the driver through a haptic headband. By utilizing three vibration motors, this system creates a language of emotional expression between human and machine. This prototype focuses on the interaction between Darius and his companion Rex. Inspired by the embodied communication of dogs, the system conveys responses to the driver’s emotional states such as anger, happiness, sadness, and neutrality.
