09.15 – 09:45 Networking new ideas Brainstorming session with your “yes!-shoes” on.
1. In conversation, each team member presents their ongoing research and other areas of interest, both academic and private.
2. Pinpoint where your research interest, both active and potential, intersect. (These can be anything—ontological point of departure, theories, methods, perspectives, study objects, etc.)
3. Come up with a some titles for potential educational research publications that you could collaborate on and that connect well to your academic expertise. Put your yes!-shoes on, say “Yes, we can do that!” and write down all your ideas as a list.
09.45 – 10:15 Fika break Mingle with people from the other teams and try to get some input on your ideas.
10:15 – 12:00 Networking new ideas – continued Decision time!
1. Go through each one of the titles on your list of potential research publications and discuss if: - the area of research in terms of novelty and originality, - if you have the right expertise within the team, or if you need to include others - and if the research would be feasible.
2. Choose the three titles you like the most and together answer these questions in bullet form: - aim for the study, - potential theories and methods, - potential results - how the study could contribute to (1) the academic world, (2) to society in general, and (3) to education more specifically.
3. Pick the idea that you find most interesting and begin to think about how you would pitch this idea to other researchers (NB. You have 30 mins after lunch to finalize the presentation).
