KBC Ping Pong Tournament 2025

Welcome to sign up for our upcoming table tennis tournament. All levels are welcome – from total beginners to seasoned players. Fill out the form below and get ready to meet colleagues, have fun, and maybe even win a trophy!

After Sweden’s recent success in Malmö – where Truls Möregårdh’s performance lifted him to world number 5 – what better time for us to celebrate and play some ping pong ourselves?

We are excited to invite you to our upcoming KBC Ping Pong Tournament (table tennis) – a fun and friendly competition open to everyone across the organization and beyond.

No matter your level of experience, you are welcome to join!

How it works:

  • Sign up by 6 October using the registration link below.
  • Once registration is closed, players will be divided into groups.
  • Group stage: You will play against everyone in your group at a time and place that suits you. The tournament will continue throughout October 2025.
  • The place and time for semi-finals and the final will be announced later.
  • Prizes: A trophy/medals for the winner, and fun extra awards.

Practical details:

  • Eligibility: The tournament is open to everyone affiliated with KBC, but our colleagues from other collaborating UMU and SLU. departments/research centres are also welcome!
  • All registered participants will be invited to a Teams group where you can check the rules, easily communicate with each other, arrange matches, and share updates.
  • There will also be a few scheduled open play sessions, where we will coordinate and make sure tables are available. These sessions are a great opportunity to meet your opponents and play your group matches.
  • Results will be reported in the shared tournament schedule, so everyone can follow the progress.
  • There is one table available at the Chemistry Department, as well as a few other tables located indoors at different locations. The locations of the tables will be announced in the Teams group.
  • You are welcome to bring your own racket and balls, but there will also be some available to borrow.

The winner will be awarded during the KBC DAYS on 11 November 2025.

Smash your stress away – no committees, no deadlines, just pure ping pong glory!

We look forward to your participation!
