About the course

Moment 1:
The part aims to continue to train students in a psychotherapeutic work with a client. The student deepens his skills in terms of empathic and therapeutic approach. They establish a shorter client contact, and train themselves in agreeing on goals for the therapy, conducting therapy with the client and ending client contact in accordance with the theory and method in which the student is trained.

In addition to the development of individual skills, vocational training also includes skills in working in groups, which gives students the opportunity to benefit from each other and learn from each other's experiences and reflections. Students continue to practice their ability to receive guidance and use guidance in their training. The work is carried out under the supervision of a licensed psychotherapist / supervisor. The part also aims to continue the students' training in reflecting on their own learning processes and needs for development.
The part also aims at training in documentation linked to the task and in a professional approach.


Moment 2:

The part aims to give students knowledge about and understanding of what the research situation conveys about for internet-based treatment, in different types of mental illness. Students should also practice their ability to assess the suitability of different clients, prior to this form of therapy. The course also includes training of the actual treatment work in the role of therapist support, which includes communication via message text.
The course also includes that the students are oriented in the most common structure of an internet-based program.

Students are expected to take responsibility for and evaluate their own learning process and need for more knowledge. The course must also contain elements of important professional and ethical guidelines in the work with internet-based psychotherapy.
