Master's Programme in Human Computer Interaction and User Experience 120 credits

About the programme
The strong focus on both UX and the design of interactive systems makes the Human Computer Interaction and User Experience master’s program a perfect fit for anyone who wants to shape the future of our interactions and tailor our experiences with digital technologies. Current and relevant research within the field of Human Computer Interaction provides a solid scientific foundation for the program, including approaches to user-centered and concept-driven design, prototyping and user testing.
While studying
The courses within the program help students develop key competencies and skills relevant for both interaction and experience design. Leveraging methods for user-centered design, design theory, and current research in UX, the program covers all aspects of the design process – from user studies and concept development, via mockups, sketches, scenarios and prototypes, to the design and development of digital systems, including testing and evaluation – within a comprehensive set of application areas such as working life, leisure activities, digital entertainment, and information management.
The program combines theory and practice as a way for students to develop their abilities to understand, analyze and design for human computer interaction and user experience. This way of working demands and develops a high degree of independence, initiative, and creativity among the students, something that serves them well in their future careers. With a clear structure and a solid core of courses in informatics combined with elective ones, the program offers the possibility for each student to tailor the master’s program in their own personal way. As such, the program prepares the students for both professional and academic careers.
Our master’s programs are international on campus programs with students from many countries, creating a diverse and dynamic atmosphere. The language of instruction is English, and our teachers are established and active researchers within the field. In addition, access to state-of-the-art computer labs and a dedicated UX lab, provides students with excellent opportunities to develop their practical design skills.
