Welcome to Beyond Calls with the Umeå Transformation Research Initiative (UTRI)
This is a recurring group meeting for researchers at Umeå University who want to strengthen their understanding of what makes funding applications successful. Learn what really works directly from fellow researchers and guest funders. Bring your questions, share your experience and connect with colleagues who want to sharpen their proposals and build strong networks for future calls.
At each meeting, researchers share practical insights and personal experiences about what makes a proposal stand out. Get insight in the unwritten rules and clever strategies rarely found in the official call texts.
On this occasion, the seminar will be joined by Carina Keskitalo, who will present UTRI—an initiative that promotes dialogue and interdisciplinary research collaboration for sustainable transformation at Umeå University. Through interdisciplinary events and activities, UTRI creates meeting arenas where both senior and early-career researchers can connect and build collaborations.
Through UTRI, you can also apply for funding to develop and realise ideas, as well as receive practical support and guidance throughout the process. During the seminar, Carina will share her own experiences of why interdisciplinary approaches strengthen research proposals, how to work interdisciplinarily in practice, and how UTRI can serve as a support along the way.
