Climate fiction and future narratives

Tue

Apr
Time Tuesday 14 April, 2026 at 11:30 - 13:00
Place Sirius, Galaxen

How can narratives help shape how research on sustainable transformation is understood, communicated and explored within and across disciplines? This question will be addressed in a series of two workshops taking place this spring. The workshops are organised with the support of Umeå Transformation Research Initiative, UTRI.

The workshops are open to researchers from all disciplines who are interested in engaging with narrative approaches in relation to their own research. During this first of two sessions, we combine presentations with discussion, in the next workshop in May we will work with concrete examples. You are welcome to join both sessions or one of them.

A central aim is to support interdisciplinary exchange and to foster new connections and collaborations across fields, as well as between research and society, with a shared focus on transformation.
