Despite poets seeing their poetry translated across the centuries and poetry translation being a major research topic in various fields, such as comparative literature, linguistics and philosophy, little scholarly attention has been devoted to the circulation and translation of specific theoretical frameworks for the analysis of poetry in translation. To challenge the lacking accounts of relevant authors, and to fill the gap of the period’s poetry translation criticism, this project's objective is twofold: to translate the works into Spanish/English (Popovic’s, Etkind’s, Meschonnic’s, De Campos’ and Reiss’s texts are in Portuguese, German and French); and to critically examine their relevance in the current field of poetry translation studies and how they can contribute to future studies.
