The state of research on climate change – media, journalism and communication: some reflections
Dr James Painter, University of Oxford presents recent research on media and the environment/climate in turbulent times

 

Bio
James Painter has worked for a long time at the University of Oxford, England, and is a senior lecturer at the Environmental Change Institute, School of Geography, as well as a researcher at the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism, Department of Politics and International Relations. Throughout his career, Painter has also worked extensively as a journalist for the BBC World Service (including in Latin America). He has also served as a consultant/expert for the IPCC regarding their communication and has made similar contributions to other organizations. His research focuses on climate and media/journalism.
