Finding the time and space for writing can be a challenge. A dedicated writing retreat gives you the opportunity to write in a calm and focused environment with like-minded colleagues, and the chance to learn how to maintain effective writing strategies for your research.
Held at the Umeå Marine Sciences Centre (UMF/UMSC), the retreat programme will combine facilitator-led writing blocks, group breaks, team discussions and personal reflections.
Staff and students from all Faculties are welcome!
The UMSC Autumn writing retreat will be held over two days:
Monday 19 October 2026, 0830 – 1530
Tuesday 20 October 2026, 0830 – 1530
