This course addresses the growing need for data management within academia. The course is aimed primarily at doctoral students in the humanities, but is also relevant for researchers and doctoral students in the social sciences who wish to learn more about research data management.

Autumn Semester 2026 – The next course session will be offered from November 2026 through January 2027.
This condensed course introduces research data management and open science. We will cover fundamental concepts, good research practice, ethics, and ethical review in Sweden, and delve into the FAIR and CARE principles. The course also includes important legal aspects, strategies for data storage and backup, and the practical work of creating a data management plan (DMP). The aim is to equip you with the necessary tools for responsible and efficient data management throughout the entire research process.
