5 New Doctoral Students at the Graduate School of Gender Studies

NEWS The Graduate School of Gender Studies has since 2001 been in the leading edge when it comes to interdisciplinary collaboration. This autumn they have admitted five new doctoral students, wish means that they now have 37 doctoral students enrolled.

The days for introduction is here, computers has to be ordered and working places organized. Their time as doctoral students at the Graduate School of Gender Studies mean that they belong to two departments: UCGS and the department that is associated with the topic of the student’s dissertation.

These are the new recruits, presented from left: Desirée Enlund, Human geography, Camilla Carbin, Sociology, Greta Bladh, Gender Studies, Agneta Westergren, Nursing, and Lan Kieu, Genders Studies.

They are all a part of the graduate school and therefor will combine their traditional disciplinary studies with courses, seminars, workshops and intensive meetings with gender studies and other doctoral students working within the field of interdisciplinary approach. This will provide them with a broader range of skills and tools for developing critical reflection skills. Earlier doctoral students at the Graduate School of Gender Studies whiteness that they have been able to strengthen their competitiveness both within and outside the academic job market after their dissertation.
