Awarded for study on navigation systems

NEWS The Psychonomic Society Best Article Award honors individuals for the best paper published in each Psychonomic Society journal in the last year. Kai-Florian Richter, Senior lecturer (associate professor) at the Department of Computing Science, is one of the awarded researchers in 2019.

Together with his co-authors Annina Brügger and Sara Irina Fabrikant (both at University of Zurich, Switzerland) he has published the article "How does navigation system behavior influence human behavior?" In the study, the authors examine how navigation system behavior (in terms of automating cognitive processes) changes our behavior in and attention to the environment.

The article is published in Cognitive Research: Principles and Implications 4:5 (2019).
