Bildmuseet ranked one of the world's most beautiful university art galleries

An American website dedicated to college rankings, Top 10 Online Colleges, has now listed the 30 most beautiful college art galleries in the world. On the list, that is based on qualities such as reputation, location, architecture, history and artistic culture: Umeå University’s Bildmuseet.
"Beautiful art galleries have the power to enrich and transform the lives of college students,” says chief author and researcher Dan Jenkin. “When a school takes pride in its art gallery, making it a central aspect of the educational experience, the campus community is strengthened and creativity flourishes."
Other art museums in the ranking include Yale University Art Gallery, Gallerie Dell'Accademia Venice, Ashmolean Museum University of Oxford, Ecole Des Beaux-Arts Paris, and University Museum and Art Gallery Hong Kong.
Bildmuseet was designed by Henning Larsen Architects in collaboration with White Architects.
