Event: Grand Opening of "The Astronomy Year 2009" at Umevatoriet
The Grand Opening of the "Astronomy Year 2009" will begin at noon on Saturday 17 January at Umevatoriet, Umeå's very own space science centre.
Air balloons will be launched and confetti thrown! At 1:00 pm, Professor Rickard Lundin from the Swedish Institute of Space Physics will give a talk (in Swedish) about: En föränderlig sol - livsförutsättningar på de jordlika planeterna. Umevatoriet will be open until 4:00 pm with many activities.
