Umeå Academy of Fine Arts is pleased to present a group exhibition of new works featuring three students from the Master program.
The show MACROSCOPIC STILLNESS will run from September 26, 2015 to October 16, 2015 with an opening reception First Friday, September 25th from 6-8:30 p.m.
The three artists Chiara Bugatti, Ludvig Helin and Jakob Westberg will present a range of works that share a similar field of interests through the use of different medias such as painting, sculpture and installation.
They focus on the idea of stillness as an impractical status, on all the imperceptible forces (as heat, gravity, streams, breath) that cause microscopic variations in the noiseless matter.
As a conclusion of the exhibition the artists invite the public to a special event in the gallery space.
A “microscopic observation” will take place on Friday 16th of October; time will be announced.
