International conference and expo: How to 3D print a wooden house

NEWS An international and crossdisciplinary conference, on the topic of biobased additivies and 3D printing, will be arranged on the 30th and 31th of May, at Sliperiet in Umea. RiseB and the business school participate by sharing experiences from a competence development program.

Welcome to an international, cross-disciplinary platform offering ideas exchange, knowledge transfer, and networking. Be inspired by leading thinkers and makers and interact with peers from research and industry as we strengthen our cluster around large-scale biobased additive and digital manufacturing.

International speakers - innovators, researchers and industry players working in the fields of design and architecture, technology and additive production and in material sciences for the development of new techniques and ideas in the future manufacturing and construction industry.

Expo throughout the summer with experiential prototypes, deliverables and demonstrations of the work and explorations done within the +Project. The celebrative opening for the Expo will be on the 30th of May in the afternoon.

The conference and the Expo is organized by the research and innovation project + Project and supported by the EU Regional Development Fund. The project is run by Sliperiet at Umeå University in collaboration with other research partners and industry. One main goal of the research initiative is to develop the ability of sustainable digital manufacturing and 3D printing of biomaterial in large format and scale for our built environment.
