International Quality Assurance Stamp of approval given to USBE at Umeå university

The European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) in Brussels – a world leading accreditation organisation for management education, has granted USBE the European Quality Improvement System accreditation lebel, EQUIS.
USBE is now one of only four Business Education providers in Sweden and one of ten in Scandinavia to have received this prestigious recognition. EQUIS accreditation by EFMD constitutes a public recognition that the educational standard meets that of other world leading institutions. USBE is now one of 92 other high performance schools in the world, including such well recognised names as the London Business School, INSEAD, Melbourne and Sydney Universities. – This accreditation has been the result of a strategic decision taken many years ago to internationalise USBE and improve the quality of our programmes and research. Our faculty and administrative staff has worked hard for many years to reach the quality standard necessary to play in the same division as other leading business schools in the world said Agneta Marell, Dean of USBE.
– We will now have greater possibility to further the development of our educational quality, our research and our cooperation with the corporate community nationally and internationally. This accreditation will allow greater levels of cooperation between USBE and other accredited Schools improving our access to high quality student and teacher exchanges, and to competitive research schemes. This is a fantastic development for USBE and ground for new strategic goals – the Equis accreditation will allow us to aim even higher in the future.
