The results of the application process for master's level studies scholarships for the 2013-2014 academic year have now been published.
The students that have been awarded a scholarship by the Swedish Institute to study at Umeå University have been notified via e-mail. A total of 17 students have been selected in four scholarship categories by the Swedish Institute.
The applications have been assessed by a selection committee, which considered the relevance and quality of the personal motivation letter and CV. Academic qualifications were evaluated in the admission round and is not a criteria for scholarships. The scholarships are intended for master’s level studies in Sweden and covers the tuition fee and living expenses. The scholarship holders will also receive a travel grant in connection with the scholarship.
Successful applicants who have been offered a scholarship will receive a formal confirmation of the scholarship offer by e-mail, along with instructions. Please be sure to follow all instructions given. It is also very important that you accept your admission offer on Universityadmissions.se by logging into your account and answering "Yes" to the program you've been offered a place in. The deadline for accepting your offer is Monday 8 April.
Recipients must officially accept their scholarship offer from The Swedish Institute by Friday 19April.
Those that have applied for Umeå University Scholarships for International Students (a separate scholarship from SI) have also been notified today via e-mail. These scholarships include a full or partial reduction of the tuition fee for master’s level studies.
