Congratulations to Johan Tordsson who has been appointed Associate Professor of Computing Science at Umeå University.
The title of Johan Tordsson´s lecture was: An introduction to autonomic computing.
This lecture introduced autonomic computing - the vision of computer systems that manage themselves according to administrator goals. Motivating factors for autonomic systems include scale, complexity, and high costs for human administration in today's computer systems. The lecture introduced core concepts, goals, and techniques for autonomic computing.
