In the early hours of December 25th a fire was reported at the apartments at Geografigränd 2A–2J, owned by Bostaden in Umeå. Bostaden looking for tenants
Many of the tenants weren't at home when the fire started. Bostaden is currently trying to locate and contact them.

Latest report from Rescue Services
Rescue Services has reported that the fire at Geografigränd 2A-2J has now been extinguished and that the situation is under control. The property will continue to be monitored, however, in case the fire should flare up again. Apartments located on floors one to three have suffered smoke and water damage, while apartments located on the fourth floor have been extensively damaged by the fire. Though there is no immediate risk of structural collapse, certain sections of the building have been sealed off as a safety precaution. Tenants who wish to gain access to their apartments will be given safety helmets to wear while inside the building.
