Lena Gustafsson re-elected board member of Association for Swedish Higher Education

Umeå University’s Vice-Chancellor, Professor Lena Gustafsson, has been re-elected to the board of the Association for Swedish Higher Education (SUHF) for the period 2012-2013
The General Assembly of the Associatition for Swedish Higher Education, the highest governing body, met on Wednesday in Gothenburg. The members of the board were elected for the next two-year mandate.
The newly elected members of the Board consist of the following persons:
Pam Fredman, University of Gothenburg (chair, re-elected) Marita Hilliges, Dalarna University College (vice-chairman, re-elected) Lena Gustafsson, Vice-Chancellor, Umeå University (re-elected) Anders Söderholm, Mid Sweden University (re-elected) Ann Fust, Uppsala University (re-elected) Karin Röding, Mälardalen University (newly electede) Helen Dannetun, Linköping University (newly elected) Bo-Erik Gyberg, Stockholm Academy of Dramatic Arts (newly elected)
Background on SUHF:
The Association was founded in 1995 as an organisation for institutional cooperation on a voluntary basis. 40 universities and university colleges in Sweden are members (16 universities, 18 university colleges and 6 university art colleges). The Association aims at safeguarding the external interests of the institutions and at strengthening their internal cooperation.
