The by-election for the USBE board is now finished, and vice chancellor Lena Gustafsson has appointed PhD Anna Thoursie new member of the USBE board.
Anna Thoursie has a PhD in Economics from Stockholm University. At present she is chief economist at KFS (KFS is an employers' organisation for companies in the municipal and county council sector) and works internationally in the European counterpart to KFS. Thoursie has an extensive experience in socio-economic analysis and advocacy within a range of organisations. She also participated in the group at HSV that in 2011 evaluated the economic subjects at the universities. She holds degrees in statistics as well as in economics.
