NEWS On Monday 28 September, Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt will deliver a lecture at Umeå University about the Swedish Presidency of the EU, Sweden and the EU's role in the world, in addition to updating on the UN Climate Summit in New York.
With a year remaining to the parliamentary elections, there is an increase of focus on Swedish domestic politics. At the same time, Sweden's role in Europe and the world is changing. Sweden holds the role of the EU presidency until the end of the calendar year, and how will its vision be conveyed in the international arena? How will Sweden be heard and in Brussels and New York, and what can be expected of the United National climate change conference in Copenhagen to be held in December?
