Görel Granström, Therese Enarsson and Karin Åström, senior lecturers at the Department of Law, will participate at the annual Göteborg Book Fair this fall and discuss their research regarding victims of crime, academic freedom of speech and harassment and threats online.
The main theme at the 2016 Göteborg Book Fair is freedom of expression. The researchers from the Department of Law are part of the seminar program organized by the international network Scholars at Risk (SAR), which protects scholars suffering grave threats to their lives, liberty and well-being.
"If scholars and journalists feel the need to limit their expression in the context of their work, we face a huge democracy problem", says Karin Åström, senior lecturer and one of the participants from the Department of Law. The Göteborg Book Fair is the largest cultural event in Scandinavia and will take place on September 22th to 25th 2016.
