SEK 56 million in funding from the Swedish Research Council

NEWS The Swedish Research Council has reached the decision to grant over SEK 56 million (€6.2 million) in support for 15 new research projects in the humanities, social sciences and educational sciences at Umeå University.

The Swedish Research Council  is the largest state funder of basic research at Swedish higher education institutions and research institutes. Decisions regarding funding of research projects within medicine and natural and engineering sciences will be made in early November.

Statistics from the Swedish Research Council shows that Umeå University is performing strongly from a national perspective. Umeå University received the second most amount of funding in the field of educational sciences among all universities for the first grant year. In the humanities and social sciences Umeå University had the fifth highest amount of funding nationally.
