The TRN is the learned society for tax researchers, practitioner and policy makers in the UK, and has around 350 members from across the world. Over many years the TRN’s annual conference has provided a vital forum for the presentation and discussion of leading edge tax research. The conference is a multidisciplinary event, and gathers accountants, lawyers, economists, sociologists, historians and a wide variety of other scholars from the social sciences and humanities. This year the conference was held at the University of Roehampton, London.

At the conference, Lotta Björklund Larsen presented her paper “A Failure of a Cooperative Compliance Project”, Dennis de Widt and Lynne Oats presented “Risk Assessment in a cooperative compliance context: A Dutch – UK comparison”, and Dinali Wijeratne and Emer Mulligan presented “Pensions and Taxation Across the EU”.
