Sweden's new Prime Minister is a Umeå University alumnus

A new government has been formed in Sweden. It is led by Prime Minister Stefan Löfven, who studied social work at Umeå University during 1978-1979. Additionally, Umeå University alumnus Ibrahim Baylan has been named the new Minister for Energy. He studied public administration during 1993-1997.
"I worked as a lecturer during that time and had Stefan Löfven as a student in one of the firstyear courses in social work," says Lennart Nygren, professor at the department of social work. "Although I had many students back then, I remember Stefan. He was a very curious and interested person who wanted to discuss social issues," says Lennart Nygren.
Sweden's new Government, which was formally presented on 3 October, is led by Prime Minister Stefan Löfven and consists of 23 ministers.
