Umeå Municipality environment portal lets you calculate your own carbon footprint

An online "Climate Account" that allows users to to reduce their carbon footprint through interactive information is now available via Umeå Municipality's new environment portal which aims to raise environmental awareness in Umeå, for the benefit of residents and businesses.
The Climate Account has been developed by IVL Swedish Environmental Research Institute in a joint project with Umeå Municipality, The Swedish EPA, Stiftelsen Futura, E.ON, Skanska, City of Stockholm, City of Göteborg, the Church of Sweden, The Swedish Association of Graduate Engineers and the Swedish Society for Nature Conservation. The tool is a development on IVL´s carbon footprint calculator and on the ´Klimatlöftet´ tool.
The Climate Account is a tool to help individuals to reduce their carbon footprint through interactive information and help in calculating a personal carbon footprint. The tool makes it quick and easy for an individual to estimate their emissions, but also contains more detailed information and advice on the main ways to cut emissions.
